Ready to make a splash in your career? WaterNSW is seeking an experienced Maintenance Officer Trade - Mechanical or Electrical  (FULL-TIME) to join our team.  

 

Join WaterNSW with this hands-on Trade Maintenance role that operates at the heart of critical water infrastructure across Copeton and Pindari Dams. Supporting large-scale gated storage facilities with vital flood management responsibilities, this role offers broad exposure across mechanical systems, hydraulics, and general site operations.

What you’ll do: 

•    Deliver high-quality trade maintenance and servicing across dams, pipelines, and associated assets in line with best practice and compliance standards.

•    Carry out planned and reactive maintenance, identify improvement opportunities, and contribute to the ongoing reliability of key infrastructure.

•    Monitor and maintain assets to ensure the safe, accurate supply of water to communities and customers.

•    Contribute to flood management, emergency response, and water operations during high-impact events.

•    Maintain accurate records and input into maintenance management systems to support effective decision-making.


What we are looking for: 

•    A trade qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, or a related discipline

•    Hands-on experience within your trade, with the capability to apply your skills in maintaining and servicing critical infrastructure

•    A practical mindset with the ability to operate across maintenance, monitoring, and operational activities within a water or industrial environment

•    Proven ability to work collaboratively within a team, contributing to a positive and safety-first culture

•    Certificate III in Water Operations (desirable but not essential)
