We are currently seeking a Procurement Sourcing Specialist (Digital) on a Max-term two (2) year contact to partner with business leaders and technology stakeholders, leading sourcing activities that support our evolving digital, technology and ICT portfolio.

What you’ll do:  

• Lead end-to-end sourcing activities, including preparing RFx documentation, engaging with suppliers, coordinating evaluations, managing negotiations and facilitating timely contract awards. 
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to develop clear, fit-for-purpose scopes of work, technical requirements and procurement strategies that align with WaterNSW standards and deliver successful supplier outcomes. 
• Draft, review and oversee critical procurement documentation, including procurement plans, evaluation plans, recommendations for award, contracts and associated governance artefacts. 
• Support supplier performance management by participating in performance reviews, addressing supplier issues, contributing to supplier development initiatives and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement. 
• Drive improvements to procurement processes, systems, tools and ways of working, helping enhance efficiency, governance and stakeholder experience. 

What we are looking for:   

• A relevant tertiary qualification in Procurement, Business, Commerce or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience. 
• Demonstrated experience in (Digital) procurement, sourcing and/or category management, with a strong understanding of end-to-end source-to-contract processes. 
• Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills, with the ability to build credibility and influence outcomes across a diverse range of business groups. 
• A strong commercial mindset, with the ability to balance risk, value, compliance and business objectives to achieve positive procurement outcomes. 
• A proactive and solutions-oriented approach, demonstrating sound judgement, initiative and the ability to identify practical opportunities to improve outcomes for stakeholders.

WaterNSW operates the state’s dams, capturing and storing water, and then supplying it ready for distribution – for the environment, agriculture, industry and the community. With 41 major dams and hundreds of waterways across the state, we play a vital role at the source of the state’s water, delivering two thirds of all water used in NSW.
